I can't believe I was away for so long!
Sadly when money gets tight things have to go. After careful budget work and other things, I am back on line and active again.
I have missed blogging and being able to visit my fellow bloggers.
Just please send happy thoughts and vibes my way and everything will work out in the end.
Are you all ready for the holidays that are QUICKLY coming? I am in the process of scouring down the kitchen and will work one room at a time so that everything sparkles. The dreaded part is hand washing 2 sets of china but it is a necessary evil...lol
More post coming so stay tuned!!!
Kisses to all of you and I am soooooo happy to be back!!!!

Playing Around
Last night I was feeling the need to create and while the grand babies were watching TV and grabbed some yarn.
I made a WASH CLOTH! Now I know you are thinking, WOO! A wash cloth. Well I was impressed with myself. lol
Now you are thinking. HEY! This looks like the dish rag post. Well, it isn't. Different color and different use! hahaha
Seriously though, it isn't perfect, I need to keep practicing and it will get better in time. Besides that, if someone comes over and is really upset over the look of a wash cloth then they need more help then I can give them,
I was looking at our wash cloths the other day and knew I needed to break down and buy new ones. But since I ALWAYS get the bulk of my yarn at GW, thrift shops, or yard sales, making new ones are pretty cheap and I can do it while watching TV in the evenings.
Very excited that it is finally staying warm so I can dig out projects that require out side work!!!!
See you soon!!!

A Wedding Reception!!!
Yesterday my oldest baby girl was married. Ok, she isn't a baby anymore, she is 27. But she will always be my baby..
A simple ceremony with the Mayor at City Hall and an extremely simple reception. She only gave me one week to prepare and money was very tight this week.
Bride and Groom at City Hall and the other picture below is some of my family. Sadly 2 daughters weren't able to be here. One lives out of state and the other one was at work.

I made a very simple cake. I had to use 1 loaf pan and 1 round pan. This cake was just for the ride and groom. I hated it, my icing didn't set right. If I had the extra $$$ it would have hit the trash and I would have bought one! lol She insisted she loved it. I used a simple figurine from the Dollar Tree as a topper. And the picture isn't good but I created the cake stand from a vase and plate from the same store also. I made roughly 3 dozen cupcakes for all the other guest and dusted those with colored sugar.
Using my Cricut machine I put her new last initial in vinyl on two glass gotten from.......You guessed it!
Dollar Tree! All in all I wish I could have done more. But with not much notice and hardly any dollars I think it came out fine. She loved it and said it was fantastic!! But even though it wasn't perfect, we made wonderful memories yesterday and that is what matters the most!
Oh!! I almost forgot!! The bouquet was made from more Dollar Tree finds! Love that store!!!

Good Bye
I have been very lax on my posting, please over look me for a little while.
I just popped on her to tell you that I will be back again, probably next week.
This past Sunday on the 20th my beloved grandmother passed away. She would have been 95 this June. This wonderful women left behind 8 children, 26 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. And up till a month before she passed, she could tell you every one's name, spouses, and birthdays.. That's better then I am now!!!
Taking this week to help my family get through this and I will see you soon. It helps to know she is with Grandpa now. She had been missing him alot these past 15 years.
Please take time to visit and cherish those around you. Goodbye comes faster then you ever think it would......

Please Stop!!!!!!
I start each day with my coffee and computer. It is how I wake up..
My problem is that I start looking at a blog, then find a link to another blog, which leads to another link and the snow ball effect turns into an avalanche!!!!
I have honestly sat at my computer from 7am to almost 2 pm just looking at all the wonderful projects and my mind starts whirling!! lol Please quit posting so many awesome things!!! Just joking..I love all the items I find.
I just need to discipline myself better so I can get my own projects done!
Keep posting and I will keep looking.
I have a project in mind that I am starting tomorrow! Transforming a large TV to an entertainment center. Wish me luck!!!!

A New Little Something I Tried!!
The other day I was going thru some of my junk ( I mean craft supplies) and I found some left over yarn. I really like to crochet while watching TV at night so I grabbed it and a hook and started playing with it. Not sure what I was gonna do I finally settled on making
dish rags.
Now these are not perfect by a long shot. The first one came out larger then I expected but still usable and the smaller one came out neater looking. All and all I don't think I did to bad of a job. I believe I will get better as time goes by. But I figured HEY! I am using them to wash dirty dishes with so why sweat it?!?! I do plan on making more and being really careful because I believe I hit upon a cool Christmas idea!!!!
Sorry it took a while to post again but work is a little crazy right now..
Check back soon because I have a lot of projects bouncing around in my head and will be getting started soon!!
Thanks for stopping by!!!

It's A Party!!!!
Saturday was a busy and crazy day and I loved every minute of it!!
My grandson Alex will be 5 this Wednesday so we held his party this past Saturday.
My grandson Alex will be 5 this Wednesday so we held his party this past Saturday.
Spider man was the theme and cousins came from near and far to attend. Out of 13 grandchildren we got to enjoy 12 of them here. Like I said it was a crazy day!
We had cupcakes but his aunt made him a 3 milk cake(a family favorite and also part of most of the grandchildren's Hispanic heritage She came in from Kentucky and discovered that running her car's heater caused the writing to run a little. But let me tell you, it taste AWESOME!!!!
And last but not least is the birthday boy himself. I can't believe how big he has grown. All the grandbabies are growing like weeds and I have to struggle to keep up with them.
I didn't post all the pictures I have because there are like 34 of them and that would have made for one heck of a post!
Tomorrow, come visit me to be introduced to the new love of my life!! See you then!!!
